Tellofy (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the website www.tellofy.com, and other TLD and subdomains under the Tellofy brand herein referred to as “Service”

 This Privacy Policy applies to the personal information and data collected by tellofy when you interact with our websites, product and services, and any other sites or services that link to this Privacy Policy.  This includes when you interact with us on our websites or through other channels like webinars, events and other marketing activities and you use our product and services.

 This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service on our websites or through other channels like webinars, events and other marketing activities and the choices you have associated with that data.

Definitions

Service: Service is the www.tellofy.com website and other Top Level Domains and Country Specific domains operated by Tellofy

Usage Data: Usage Data is data collected automatically either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit)

For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, we act, as both are a Data Controller and a Data Processor of your Personal Data, which is dependent on where the data is collected in the review process.

Data Controller:Data Controller means the natural or legal person who (either alone or jointly or in common with other persons) determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal information is, or is to be, processed.

We act as the data controller when you visit our website and we collect certain data like cookies and your IP address, any to other data you submitted via the forms on the website. In case you want to exercise your rights in respect to your personal data you might need to contact the merchant as well, since the merchant also acts as a data controller.

Data Processors (or Service Providers) Data Processor (or Service Provider) means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Data Controller. We may use the services of various Service Providers in order to process your data more effectively.

When emails are sent from our system to request a review we act as a data processor, on behalf of the merchant who has signed up for our services.

Data Subject (or User): Data Subject is any living individual who is using our Service and is the subject of Personal Data.

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.

Personal Data

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Data”). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

Information you provide to us directly

If you are a business user of tellofy, and you sign up to tellofy services, then you are a “merchant” and will be hereby referred to as a “customer” or “merchant” or “our customer”.  We may ask for certain information when you register for a tellofy’ s merchant account or correspond with us (such as a username, your first and last names, business name, website, phone number, business category, physical and e-mail address).

We also collect information like messages you send through the Service (such as user feedback, search queries and prompts), and may collect information you provide in any format but not limited to such as text, audio, video and pictures . This is used to operate, maintain, improve and provide the features and functionality of the Service to you, to correspond with you, and to address any issues you raise about the Service.

Tellofy merchants may collect business testimonials, reviews, along with personal data such as first and last name, email address, phone number, or other information about the reviewer while using our product and service. This is captured via but not limited to all of our web-based applications, mobile apps, tablet and tools developed, operated, and maintained by us. Merchants are responsible for complying with any regulations or laws that require providing notice, disclosure, and/or obtaining consent prior to collecting their customers’ Personal Data using our service.

When merchants use our product, we do not control the content of our merchant’s brand page ( also known as tellofy business page). We store merchant and customer’s information on our servers using cloud hosting ( example AWS) and process it under the merchant’s instructions and in accordance with our Terms of Service, which prohibit us from using the information except as necessary to provide and improve our products and services and as required by law.

tellofy merchants also control and are responsible for the information they collect, share and process and for complying with any regulations or laws that require providing notice, disclosure, and/or obtaining consent prior to transferring the Personal Data to tellofy and other sharing publishing platforms for processing purposes.

Information we receive from third party applications

We may receive information about you from third parties. For example, when you connect your account to third party providers ( example : Facebook, YouTube, X – formerly twitter etc.) we use oAuth for authentication via the third party API (Application Programming Interface), such connections and linking your account means that the third party may pass certain information about your use of its service to tellofy.

This information could include, but is not limited to, the user ID associated with your account (for example, your Facebook UID, YouTube channel id) and an access token necessary to access that service, so any information that you have permitted the third party to share with us, and any information you have made public in connection with that service. You should always review, and if necessary, adjust your privacy settings on third-party websites and services before linking or connecting them to the Service. If you are a tellofy merchant and choose to connect your YouTube account with your tellofy account, you will be asked to give us access to information from your YouTube account and have the option to link your accounts.

If you communicate with us via social media, including Instagram, Facebook or X (previously twitter) and choose to share your user generated content with us, we may receive information such as videos you’ve created, your photo, your account name and your comments.

Google Account and YouTube Integrations

If you are a tellofy merchant and choose to connect your YouTube account with your tellofy account, you will be asked to give us access to information from your YouTube account and have the option to link your accounts.

By using the YouTube integration with the Subscription Service you grant tellofy access to information associated with your YouTube account. tellofy will scan the content of your YouTube to identify content you have elected to track in order to provide you with features in the tellofy service. tellofy service will store information from your YouTube account.

You understand that connecting your YouTube account is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service available at https://www.youtube.com/t/terms and the Google Privacy Policy available at http://www.google.com/policies/privacy. Further, you also understand that the information from your YouTube connected account may be visible to other tellofy users within your tellofy account.

Merchants have the option to disconnect the YouTube integration from your tellofy account at anytime either through the tellofy account management or via the Google security settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

Disclosure about data from Google APIs 

Tellofy use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. 

Information we receive from other third parties

We may obtain information about you from third-party sources, such as public sources, other review platforms and social media platforms (like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X-Twitter and other platforms) and third-party data providers and information services. We do this to better understand your business profile and interests for customized offers and other personalized services via email, chatbots, phone or personalized advertising. 

Usage Information

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and we hold certain information.

Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. Other tracking technologies are also used such as beacons, tags and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyse our Service.

We may publish aggregated/anonymized statistics but these are not in themselves personal data, as you will not be identifiable from them.

If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), Tellofy legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the Personal Data we collect and the specific context in which we collect it.

Tellofy may process your Personal Data because:

Business Transaction
